Homemade Lara Bars (or Balls)

Ever think to yourself...man Lara Bars break my bank! Ranking in at an average of $1.25 per bar, it is not the most cost efficient way to get healthy protein and energy. 

 

What if I told you, you could make these little babies with a quick 3 ingredient recipe and not only that, you could whip up a whole batch (for 2 weeks) in less than 5 minutes? Too good to be true huh? Well, you totes can! And not only that, but you can adjust and tweak the recipe to your own preference - you know what? You don't even have to make them bars! *Gasp* You can make them balls! ...or any shape for that matter. 

 

So here's the general template:

-1 cup nuts or seeds of choice (almonds, cashews, pumpkin seeds)

-1 cup sticky dried fruit - dates recommended (raisins, cranberries, cherries, apricots, figs)

-1 tsp vanilla

 

*Optional mix-ins: (cacao nibs, coconut, peanut butter, goji berries, oats, espresso powder, etc)
